Window opening behavior is a kind of occupancy behavior significantly impacting on energy consumption of HVAC system, indoor air quality and thermal comfort. Investigates the environmental parameters that may affect the window opening behavior through monitoring the indoor and outdoor environmental parameters and window status in a maternal and child hospital in Beijing during transitional season of 2018. The results show that the outdoor temperature is a dominant factor driving the window opening behavior in transitional season, followed by indoor relative humidity, outdoor relative humidity and indoor temperature, and the impact of PM2.5 on the window opening behavior is minimal.
